Wanda and I were talking this morning about how to reduce our monthly costs. Okay, we were actually discussing high grocery bills when one must feed a house FULL of boys. We were passing ideas for saving money back and forth and discussing who else we knew that would be a good resource for ideas. I mentioned that it would be nice to have a web-based resource that a group could contribute to with their fabulous ideas and suggestions. Thus, the Kitchen Co-op blog was started.
I hope that people will freely share their thoughts and ideas so that we can all benefit from the experience and knowledge of such an incredible group of (mostly) women. I look forward to seeing where these ideas take us and how much we are able to adapt to this new way of sharing information to continue living these amazing lives that we do.

This is a great idea. I'll do what I can to spread the word. Thanks
ReplyDeleteThis is a great idea. Thanks AnNicole for letting me know about this blog. I have some money saving ideas and I cant wait to learn new ones :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great beginning to a timely subject!
ReplyDeleteI feel as if I have always been trying to save money feeding my family and I look forward to hearing about others' strategies...
In a nutshell, my grocery shopping consists of always shopping with a list of the basics and then being flexible with the ingredients for meals and (almost only) buying what is in season and/or on sale. I also buy almost no processed or prepared foods so that by the time I hit the checkout my cart is full of raw ingredients rather than foods. This means more prep and cooking time at home but the resulting meals are fresher and much healthier for me and my family. Obviously, this is nothing very exciting or new but it's what has worked for me. What about you?
I have some ideas on how to save money using coupons. Honestly, I'm not in the habit of using them..however, my fiance does most of the grocery shopping. To give you an example last week he got $310.00 worth of groceries for $105.88 and everything is brand name. You hear about these people on tv and I'm lucky I have him as a fiance. You want to hear more how he does this...just let me know.
ReplyDeleteThis is great! I could definitely learn some new tidbits as well as share some that I know!
ReplyDeleteI definitely want to hear tips from Susan's Fiance. I saved $40 today at the grocery store--he beat my work by $160!! Incredible.
ReplyDeleteI know - I have messaged Susan hoping she will get in touch so she can give us all some direction!
